What happens, step by step
No guesswork about what you are signing up for. Here is the actual sequence.
You reach out
Send the form or call the office. Someone from the practice follows up to find a time that works.
Medical evaluation
A full history and an honest look at what has been getting in the way — including thyroid, metabolic and medication factors that often go unexamined.
A plan built for you
Dr. Fenton discusses the options that fit your history and goals, including whether medication is appropriate, and what each approach involves.
Ongoing follow-up
Weight management is managed over time, not handed over once. Your plan is reviewed and adjusted as things change.
What this looks like in practice
- A physician, not a coach.
Your evaluation and your plan are handled by a licensed medical doctor.
- Your whole history counts.
Thyroid function, blood sugar, blood pressure, sleep and current medications all shape what is appropriate.
- Medication is a decision, not a default.
If it is clinically appropriate, Dr. Fenton explains how it works, what to expect and what the risks are, before anything is prescribed.
- Independent of the concierge practice.
Weight management patients are seen without a membership. The two services are separate.
- Telehealth where it fits.
Available to patients located in Florida.

Questions people ask first
A few things to know before your first visit.
Do I have to join the concierge practice?
No. Medical weight management and the concierge primary care membership are two separate services. Most weight management patients are not members.
Will medication be part of my plan?
That depends entirely on your evaluation. Medication is one option among several, and whether it is appropriate is a clinical judgment Dr. Fenton makes with you after reviewing your history. Nothing is decided before you are seen.
What happens at the first appointment?
A medical history, a discussion of what you have already tried, and whatever evaluation is clinically indicated. You leave understanding what the options are and what each one involves.
Is this covered by insurance?
Coverage varies considerably by plan and by service. The office can walk you through what applies in your case when you call.
Can I be seen by telehealth?
Telehealth is available to patients located in Florida. Some visits are better done in person, and the office will tell you which is appropriate.
